FINE ART CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY
Each original artwork will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, signed and dated by Marilet.
FINE ART FRAMING
Please note in the listing description of each piece whether it will ship framed or unframed. As framing is a personal choice and as the original artworks vary in size and format, a photo has been included where possible to help you best visualize the piece in your space.
For artwork that ships unframed: Marilet is available to assist you with decisions once your piece arrives and you are ready to work with your local framer.
For works on paper: we suggest that they be “floated” with a bit of space between the artwork and the inside edge of the frame so that their deckled edges can be appreciated. We also suggest selecting a UV museum glass option.
For artwork on cradled panels: these will ship with a wire installed at the back of the piece, so that they can be hung on a wall as is, or they could be fitted into a wood or metal floater frame by your local framer.
Any other framing questions? Please send us a message.
A NOTE ON MATERIALS AND COLOR
All pieces are created with archival methods and materials in mind. You may consider placing artwork out of continuous direct sunlight exposure and/or framing with UV museum glass if fading is of concern to you.
CARING FOR YOUR TEXTILE PIECES
We find that the more we wear and wash our pieces, the softer they get.
Cotton: We recommend hand washing in cold water. Rinse clean and lay flat to dry. Do not use bleach. Use the cotton setting on your iron. Dry cleaning is also an option.
Silk: We recommend gently hand washing your silk piece in room temperature water. Rinse clean and lay flat to dry. Do not use bleach. If you’d like to lightly iron your piece, the best time to do so is just before the textile dries completely, ironing on the lowest setting for silk without using the steam setting on your iron, as this may leave water marks on your piece. Dry cleaning is also an option.
A NOTE REGARDING THE HANDMADE NATURE OF MARILET'S WORK
As all of the pieces are handmade, each one is unique. Marilet embraces the beauty of the imperfect while reaching for the highest standards of quality possible.
Due to the nature of the work, we are unable to offer returns or refunds at this time. Marilet is happy to answer any questions you may have prior to making your purchase. Please send her a note and she will be in touch.
