Like layers of Earth dissolving one into the next, if one were to dig down through time, vibrant shades of purples and burnt oranges create different line widths and bands of darker and lighter colors.
Each one of these kerchief-sized silk squares is handpainted by Marilet in her studio in California. She mixes up individual batches of all natural dyes and hand applies them using different tools and methods for varying textures and results. The silk used is from India, and is an ahimsa/vegan cloth.
This wild silk will keep you warm in Winter and protect you from the sun in Summer.
Approximate Dimensions: 22" x 22" Lead time: 3 weeks
As these pieces are handmade you may notice small visual quirks and irregularities. Dye colors slightly shift from batch to batch, and the design painted on each one may vary a bit here and there as well. May we invite you to embrace and love these unique markings, allowing them to remind you of the hands who’s time, work, and expertise went into their creation.
